Valentines Day Fail = The Bitching Post!!

Hope everybody had a wonderful valentines day, whether you spent it with the love of your life or the people you love in your life! Now we are over with the pleasantries.......

 I AM MAD MAD MAD! (yes I did just shout that) What you have to understand people is that I haven't had a chance to have a real valentines day in a long time, so of course I was super excited to finally be able to have a romantic date since I now have a boyfriend to share the day with! To make sure it was perfect I even requested valentines day off work because if I didn't do that I would have had to work the late shift! I had my present already, weeks in advance, it was just a matter of wrapping it!

As the day crept nearer, I got more excited, we never discussed the plan for the day, I didn't really wanna know what he had planned because I wanted everything to be a surprise, I had no doubts in him, I mean the man bought me a Blackberry for Christmas!!
I had even planned to do an OOTD post on my planned outfit for the night!
So the night before we had some "communication problems" we didn't speak that much because he was busy ( he is in the process of finding a new place to live) running around with estate agents. So I left him to it and thought I would just talk to him tomorrow!

So it's V Day, I text him Happy V Day as soon as I am up, he text's back but no mention of the plans for the day. I leave him for a couple of hours then I can't stand it any longer I message him asking him the plans for the day! His reply was " I have to be at the estate agents before 5pm and I have two work visits to do :-(.
Ok in my head I am thinking your not answering my question, what are you telling me exactly? I say so you are busy, well I am going to go do some shopping up west! I ask him what time will he be home, he says 6pm. Now in my head I am thinking that's not late at all!!
I go about my day, I am feeling irritated by this point as I have no clue as to what is going, while I am out I get another text saying he should be home soon, but he has to be up at 6am for work.  Now I am thinking this dude can't be serious (usually being up early is code for I can't see you tonight) I then say "so I guess I won't be seeing you today!" his reply was his battery was dying, he will text when he gets home.

7pm I get a message saying he is home asking how my day was, I say I am still out and about! Bearing in mind people he hasn't even apologised to me! I am absolutely fuming!! So I tell him he owes me a decent Valentines Day! Only then does he give any kind of acknowledgement  "I will make it up to you :-(" by then the damage is done, that does not cut it, that does not pass the grade for an apology! I can't even begin to describe my anger.  I just leave it at that before I say something I regret!

So once again another Valentines Day flop! Not even a card, or chocolates or

 Don't get me wrong, I have no problem in spending Valentines alone in that way, but why should I if I have a "man" in my life!!
Even if he was truly busy that's ok, I just don't like how he handled the whole thing, he should have come better than that! E.g. " Babe I'm sorry about today, just been really busy, I promise to make it up to you" or a phone call of that nature! Without me having to prompt him to say sorry! I don't like being treated like the chick on the side! Right now I am still cheesed off so all I can muster is the cold shoulder!
 Sometimes it's better to be single, you don't get disappointment when all you have is yourself to rely on! That's one thing about relationships I never could stand, and I had a lot of it with my Ex.  I know perfection doesn't exist but I can't help but have high expectations maybe that's the Virgo in me!

It's just too cold right now! I am not coping in these minus conditions especially when my job has me standing outside in them for 8 hours!! All i wanna do after a long day is go home, get into my pyjamas and put that kettle on! I swear spring needs to hurry up already! Plus there are predictions of snow at the weekend Grrrrrrrrrr, I am definitely staying in this weekend!

Anyway lets get back to what makes me warm and fuzzy inside, Internet window shopping! (I.W.S)

Right now its all about the online catalogue purchases for me.  As much as I do love Simply Be, Isme seems to be taking over.  It's more of a straight sized catalogue but it does have a lot of straight sizes available for us larger ladies! Plus i find a lot of it more youthful, less frumpy because it's available to all sizes (well most)

Is anyone else loving the peplum trend? I am loooving it, not only is it my sexy secret weapon of 2012 the pencil skirt, the peplum frill hides a multitude of sins, I don't even need support panties with it! No more long trips to the toilet having to spend an extra 10mins of my time fixing my support pants! I just pee and go! #Flipshairandstrutsoff.  Thanks for reading. XOXO







Cinema = Shopping

Don't you just hate it when you tell yourself "that's it no more buys for the month!" and never keep to it! (or is that just me?)
Yesterday was supposed to be a straight forward day of cinema and home. But when your cinema is located within a shopping haven (Westfields) and you have time to kill, it's gonna go down very differently!

I didn't buy a lot of things in my defence, and some of the things I did buy were on offer

At £2 each this was a steal from Kiko, I've never really heard of them before but they have a small store in Westfields.  These were reduced but looking at their full price products it was not that expensive, lip glosses as cheap as £4.50 full price. I couldn't get a good picture of the white nail polish but it has a pretty pink pearl finish to it.

The lipstick is a matte finish, it's not too bright on the lips and has a frosted affect

And on yours truly...

I love it, what a bargain. The colour is no 9. Now on to Forever 21+. When I heard the store was opening in Stratford I was  so excited! I had been on the website a numerous amount of times always blown away by the selection and quantity of plus size clothing available to me, I had even purchased online before they moved to my sides of the pond. So imagine my despair when I walk into a 3 storey store only to find a corner section (I can't even describe how small it is) of Forever 21 Plus! I mean come on! Is this a joke, the store is huge! Not to mention it is badly laid out, there are 3 different styles on one arm, there is no flow to the layout, you have to rummage through everything like its a jumble sale! When you look at the rest of the store everything is beautifully laid out, which is even more of an insult that they don't think us plus babies deserve the same amount of effort and consideration! Anyway enough of my ranting and on to what I did manage to find

 Its a printed shrug and a sheer laced edge black top! Not the best pictures I know but it's just a sneak peak.

I just love the lace edging to the black top, can't wait to wear it when its a little warmer. Its too cold to freeze my goodies! Also these two gorgeous rings

It's Meeeeeeeee

Yes, I'm back, still alive and kicking! Ready for all that 2012 has to offer! Its been far too long but armed with a brand new camera and tripod I hope to get this blog back on the road to recovery.  Thanks to all who still pass by my little space in this world, it is much appreciated, don't be afraid to say hi.

 So I am now girlfriend to "Ex Marine", before we start jumping around like giddy school girls screaming its early days still (6 months) which is really 3 months if you factor in my un-sociable work hours. He is lovely, treats me well always wants to pay for everything, plus my mum likes him (always a bonus) my issue is that he is not an open person. I am a big talker of things, if something pisses me off or someone upsets me I like to deal with it by talking about it, but him on the other hand is the complete opposite and doesn't deal with it, instead it festers or he just goes out and gets plastered (plastered is not a regular occurrence) either way its foreign to me. Because he is such an onion i am giving him some time to open up a little more, we shall see how it goes.

I still have my shitty job that controls my life (but pays well lol) I still live with two fabulous ladies. Right now I am content in life which is great considering I am 30 this year!
I did a big clear out of my wardrobe the other day and had a bin bag full to the brim of un-wanted items. These things have been passed on to charities (waste not want not) All i am doing is clearing space for more never to be warm garments lol

I am in love with these skirts, they are soo funky! I think I can make it work.  I've never been a fan of yellow but I am making an exception. In terms of style I don't have a particular style I just like what I like. I am trying to find more clothes that will stand the test of time style wise, hopefully things that won't bore me after 2 wears. I am digging the pencil skirt at the moment I love how feminine it makes you feel, how sexy you become, i love how it hugs all the right places. The pencil skirt is my secret weapon for 2012.
